GENDER SENSITIZATION AND WOMEN PROTECTION CELL

As per UGC direction to constitute an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) and a special cell in our institution to deal with the issues of gender-based violence and to conduct gender sensitization programme.

The following faculty members are nominated as the committee for Gender sensitization and women protection cell

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To examine all grievance letters received from the women staff/students regarding the sexual harassment.
  • To examine and investigate on each complaint received from the women staff/ students by collecting the required information/ data from connected people.
  • To give feedback to the women staff/students concerned/to find solution for their grievances.
  • The committee will record such grievances received from the women staff/students in a separate register maintained exclusively for this purpose. The reply given by the committee to the women staff/students for grievance should also be recorded in the register.
  • The Committee should find suitable solutions to settle the problem faced by the women staff/students in regard to matters to sexual harassment within 10 day after through investigation
ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE (ARC)

The Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC) is constituted with following members to perform the specified functions by following the procedure.

FUNCTIONS

  • To build self-esteem and dignity among girl students and ladies faculty members.
  • To offer services such as counseling, legal aid in case of atrocities against women.
  • To create awareness regarding women rights.
  • To arrange programs regarding health and personality development.
  • To avoid and prohibit sexual harassment.
PROCEDURE

  • The member secretary, in consultation with the chairman of the committee, shall prepare a provisional agenda for the meeting.
  • It shall be circulated to all members of the committee two days before the meeting.
  • All the decisions should be taken on the basis of the majority
  • All the meeting, the committee shall approve a report embodying its views, recommendations and decisions.

AGENDA

  • Awareness about ragging and punishments.

RESOLUTIONS

  • K. Umasankar is instructed to bring awareness about ragging rules and punishments weekly once for at least 4 times.
  • Various squads are being instructed to undertake surprise visits during lunch hour, bus stops and in hostels.
  • Jayasankar is instructed to form a team for checking at bus stops, hostel and during travelling in bus to prevent ragging. One staff member has to travel in bus along with students during travelling.
  • Decided to constitute various committees.
COLLEGE ACADEMIC COMMITTEE (CAC)

The College Academic Committee (CAC) meeting will be conducted during starting of every semester of B Pharmacy, M Pharmacy, Pharm D & Pharm D (PB) at Principal chamber regarding attendance of students during the academic year. The following resolutions will be taken during the meeting.

The important points are as follows.

The students those who are having the attendance less than 65 % should be detained.
The students those who are having the attendance between 65 to 75 % should be condoned.
As per university regulations if students submit medical certificates, then attendance will be decided by the committee members.

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION CELL (ADC)

Statement of Non-discrimination

Krishna Teja Pharmacy College is a place where the learning is celebrated every day. The institute provides everybody with equal opportunity in to its fold irrespective of caste, language or based on gender. The institute ensures that every individual inside the campus exercise equal rights and acquire in the process of offering (or) receiving education. Any act, speech or intentions that perturb the harmony among the people is seriously regarded and dealt on immediate basis to restore the peace. Objectives of the cell:

  • This cell will look after the related matters (if any) of depriving a student/staff or group of students on the basis of caste, creed, language, ethnicity, gender, different ability.
  • This cell always tries to uphold the dignity of the institution by addressing the concerns (if any) brought in to the notice related to equality in offering education inside the campus.
  • This cell protects the rights of individuals without any prejudice to their appearance or lifestyle in the process of learning inside the campus.
  • The cell shall eliminate discrimination against or harassment of any individual in all forms by prohibiting it and by providing preventive and protective measures to facilitate its eradication and punishments for those who indulge in any form of discrimination or harassment.

Grievance Redressal

As per the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, the college is established with “Online Grievance Redressal Portal for the Students“, to provide a mechanism for redressal of students’ grievances and ensure transparency in admission, prevention of unfair practices, etc.

The Krishna Teja Pharmacy College has a robust Grievance Redressal Committee to cater to student grievances and allegations of unfair practices, if any.  This committee mandatorily includes an Ombudsman. The members of the committee are nominated by the Chairperson of the committee depending on the type of grievance submitted.

Objective

Student counselling committee was established to monitor the students regularity
As per university regulations if students submit medical certificates, then attendance will be decided by the committee members.
